For a long while now I’m having this idea to initiate an APEX group on some social network to bring APEX Fans together and have regular meetings in my hometown Vienna, Austria.

This idea in mind I met Dan McGhan at APEX World 2014 in Zeist, Netherlands. While talking about this and that we discovered that we both are fans of meetup.com which is a platform to organize meeting groups.

Of course we instantly decided this is the way to go and as soon as we are back home each of us sets up a group in his hometown. Me in Vienna and Dan in New York City.

The first meeting of the Vienna Group will be on June 11th, starting at 17:30. Oracle Austria is so nice to offer their meeting rooms. We are going to have some presentations there at first, then some time for lightning demos where everyone can show what they built.

After the “official” part we’ll go to a close by bar and have more discussions around APEX.

The nice thing about this meetings is it will be totally relaxed and non-business-like. Just a bunch of APEX Fans getting together and  having fun.

If you are in the Vienna area you should definitely join the group. The more, the better !
